Seminar FAQ

How can I find the seminar location?

The easiest method is to print the directions sheet and map for your seminar right from this website.

Where do I park? Is there a charge for parking?

We always consider the parking situation when we decide where to hold the seminars.

Depending upon the location, parking should be readily available. Generally, you should expect to park on the side or the back of whatever facility we are using. Look for our blue and white real estate size signs for parking directions.

Generally, we do not rent facilities that charge for parking unless it's completely unavoidable.

How do I find the seminar room?

Generally, the seminars are held in a meeting room on the side or rear of the facility. Look for our blue and white real estate signs to direct you when you drive onto the property. Of course, when you enter the lobby of the facility, we will have additional signage to direct you to the meeting room.

How long is the seminar?

The seminar begins at 8:30 am and ends at 4:30 pm, which is 8 hours. We will take a one hour break for lunch, therefor resulting in 7 classroom hours.

Will you have any breaks during the seminar?

Of course. Generally we take a couple of 15 minute breaks during both the morning and afternoon session.

Are you going to serve refreshments?

Yes, but not for free. We will have coffee available in the morning at $1.00 per cup, and sodas with ice in the afternoon available at $1.50 per can. Sorry, but this is actually less than what the hotel charges us. Of course, you are free to bring your own refreshments into the seminar.

Do you have handouts for the seminar?

Yes, and they include complete notes, sample reports, reference charts and a lot of other valuable information.

Do the handouts include an outline of the seminar?

Yes, and it's the same outline that I will be using to present the seminar. In other words, we will both be using the same outline.

Will I need to take notes during the seminar?

The seminar outline is rather thorough, so you probably won't "need" to take notes, but you will probably want to highlight some specific portions of the outline or perhaps make a single note or two. The idea is that we've prepared thorough notes for you so you won't need to try to write everything down yourself.
I suggest the you bring a highliter to easily mark specific portions of the outline.

Is there a test at the end of the seminar?

No.

Can I bring my laptop?

Yes, but you won't have any time to use it because of the fast pace of the presentation.

What if I need to take a cell phone call during the seminar?

No problem. This is a seminar for business people, so we don't realistically expect that you can remain out of touch for an entire day. All we ask is that when you answer your cell phone, that you ask the caller to wait a minute while you step out of the seminar room to have your conversation.

When are you going to break for lunch?

Generally at 11:30 am, so as to allow our seminar participants time to beat the "lunch rush" at nearby restaurants.

Are you going to serve lunch?

No. Lunch is on your own.

We considered including lunch with the seminars, but then we would have to raise the price of the seminar.

Where can I eat lunch?

Anywhere you wish, although we generally rent meeting rooms in facilities with an attached restaurant.

How long is the lunch break?

Generally 1 hour. However, in some seminar locations where there is no on-site restaurant, we might decide to extend the lunch period to 1 hour and 15 minutes.

We will make an announcement regarding the anticipated return time when we break for lunch.

Can we smoke during the seminar?

No, thank you. However, we generally rent seminar rooms with direct outside access, and you can certainly step outside to smoke during the breaks.
